Verein Freischreiber:innen

In the summer of 2013, a handful of freelance journalists met for the first time in Vienna. The goal: to network based on the example of the German freelancers, to advocate for the interests of the freelancers and to improve their working conditions. Less than a year later, on June 18, 2014, the journalists, who until then had met loosely at regular meetings, founded the association “Freischreiber:innen Österreich – Association for the Promotion of Free Journalism”.
