Vratislav Brabenec

Poet and occasional saxophonist Vratislav Brabenec, who is known from the band The Plastic People of the Universe, has been creating his own projects for years, very different from the parent group. His latest works in the new Pal-Post Unit line-up are, for example, Róže na kmínku (part of the Next Wave festival in Brno 2022) and Kyticí mává (Libeňská synagogue 2023).

Prepared guitar and bass player Jan Komárek, who already collaborated with Brabenec on recordings of Kanadská howl, Mraky se vári, or End of Summer, he now introduced a rhythm section into loosely conceived compositions. The Pal-Post Unit is a fluid lineup with permanent, temporary members.
