Wooden Wand

James Toth is the leader of the New York avant-garde folk band Wooden Wand. Toth enlisted musicians such as O'Rourke (who, with her husband John Olson, forms Dead Machines), Satya Sai, G. Lucas Crane, Steven the Harvester and Heidi Diehl for the project. Other people were also active in the band, as their line-up changed as well as the various pseudonyms of their members. The band's sound was also variable, which included everything from the mysticism of the 60s to free jazz, noise rock and folk traditions.
