Zero Kama

Zero Kama is the cult music project of the Austrian artist Zoe Dewitt, the key character of the post -industrial and experimental scene of the 1980s. Zero Kama was created as part of her publishing house Nekrophile Records (1983–1990) - one of the pioneering European industrial publishers published by influential bands such as Lustmord, Coil, Korpses catatonic, Contrastate and Anenzephalia - and won international fame “The Secret Ey of the Secret Ey of Of of Of of Of of Of of” L.A.Y.L.A.H. (1984), recorded exclusively on tools made from human bones and skulls. This work remains one of the darkest and most iconic works in the history of industrial music.

after nearly forty years of silence, Zoe has revived Zero Kama in a modern form that preserves the original essence of the project and transmits it to the 21st century. Today he works exclusively with samples from 1984 recordings that transform through modular synthesis and digital processing. The rhythms of the skull drums turn into pulsating techno beats, buzzing passages are converted into acid bass lines, and recognizable fragments of old songs are intertwined with uncompromising experimental new decompositions. Live performances complement the generative video-synth visuals that create a magical, dark and hypnotic ritual for contemporary audiences-the convergence of the underworld, archaic instincts, magic symbolism and ecstatic self-realization.
