IMPRESSORETTE [PT]

É gralha. Sempre o foi, desde o início. Irrittante como as antigas impressoras de agulhas. Errática. Pontos sonoros num tempo descontínuo. A pista é ‘Sala Vazia’. Partilha, mas sobretudo ouvir. Aproximação à sessão de escuta com os poucos que o ouvem e com quem tem a insensatez de o convidar. Pontos. Linhas. Geometrias desalinhadas.

DAVID BILEK [DE]

In this performance, sound artist David Bilek presents the results of his audio research centred on provoking artifacts and glitches through different processing and remixing techniques. Using these processed fragments as raw material, Bilek employs his self-programmed musical environment to collage and assemble his findings, creating a coherent "Indiescape" that bridges urban field recordings and contemporary musical forms.

The foundation of his work transforms soundscapes from Cairo into new territories, translating their cultural signifiers into the framework of indie music. The core of Bilek’s practice focuses on how AI systems interpret and transform distinctive sonic elements when pushed to their limits, revealing connections between environmental recordings and musical structures.
