Pozývame vás na novú výstavu v rámci kurátorského programu pre začínajúcich kurátorov a kurátorky. V Čepan Gallery budete môcť navštíviť výstavu slovenskej umelkyne Helen Tóth.
Príroda, les, vôňa, oddych, ale aj jedinečnosť, koexistencia, uchovávanie a ochrana, to všetko Helen Tóth zachytáva vo svojich plátnach. Výstava s názvom The scent of soil under the broken trees smells comforting spracováva tému ochrany lesných biotopov a odhaľuje ich osobitosti či vzájomnú prepojenosť. Vzdáva hold stromom a rastlinám, ktoré dokážu prežiť aj napriek nepriaznivým klimatickým podmienkam a škodlivej ľudskej činnosti.

Helen Tóth (*1992) je multimediálna umelkyňa pôsobiaca v Bratislave. Medzi rokmi 2007 a 2011 študovala na Škole úžitkového výtvarníctva Josefa Vydru v Bratislave, v rokoch 2012 – 2016 študovala na Vysokej škole výtvarných umení v Bratislave v ateliéri prof. Ivana Csudaia a v rokoch 2016 – 2018 pokračovala pod vedením prof. Daniela Fischera. Autorka je trojnásobnou finalistkou ceny VÚB banky za Maľbu roka (2017, 2022, 2023) a nominantkou na cenu Piero D'Amore E Colore na art fairi The Others v Turíne (2022).

We invite you to a new exhibition as part of the curatorial programme for emerging curators. In Čepan Gallery you will be able to visit the exhibition of the Slovak artist Helent Tóth.
Nature, forest, smell, relaxation, but also uniqueness, coexistence, preservation and protection – all this Helen Tóth captures in her canvases. The exhibition entitled The scent of soil under the broken trees smells comforting treats the theme of the conservation of forest habitats and reveals their specificity or interconnectedness. It pays tribute to the trees and plants that manage to survive in spite of adverse climatic conditions and harmful human activity.

Helen Tóth (*1992) is a multimedia artist based in Bratislava. Between 2007 and 2011 she studied at the Josef Vydra School of Applied Arts in Bratislava, in 2012 – 2016 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the studio of prof. Ivan Csudai and in 2016 – 2018 she continued her studies under prof. Daniel Fischer. The artist is a three-time finalist of the VÚB Bank Prize for Painting of the Year (2017, 2022, 2023) and a nominee for the Piero D'Amore E Colore Prize at The Others Art Fair in Turin (2022).

The exhibition is supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council and the City of Trnava. The operation of the gallery is supported by Nádvorie and Self-Governing Trnava Region.
