Monika, superhrdinka únavy, navštevuje miesta práce a oddychu. Kúpele, wellness komplexy a dovolenkové rezorty v našej prepracovanej a skoro-západnej („white, but not quite“) spoločnosti predstavujú prísľub úniku, kde sa sen o bezstarostnom relaxe mení na investičný plán. Výstava predstaví dva autorské filmy týkajúce sa tém vyhorenia, turizmu, developerizmu a komodifikácie voľného času na úkor vlastnej práce.
Tento projekt finančne podporil Bratislavský samosprávny kraj.

Monika, the superheroine of fatigue, visits places of work and rest. Spas, wellness centers, and vacation resorts in our overworked and “almost-Western” (“white, but not quite”) society offer the promise of an escape, where the dream of carefree relaxation turns into an investment plan. The exhibition will feature two original films exploring the themes of burnout, tourism, real estate development, and the commodification of leisure time at the expense of one’s own work.
This project was financially supported by the Bratislava Self-Governing Region.
