Výstava Gabriely Zigovej v trenčianskej galérii Nová Vlna predstavuje formou projekcií, inštalácií, fotografií a performance jej aktuálnu autorskú knihu s názvom Dancing Through The Debris (Tanec cez trosky.)
Publikácia je fotografickým zhrnutím obdobia v živote autorky, ktoré strávila v bezprostrednej blízkosti komunít a subkultúr okolo klubovej scény. Nejde pritom o dokumentárne zachytenie tejto scény, ale o mapovanie stavov existencie, v ktorých sa subjekt neoddeľuje od komunity, z ktorej vyrastá. Predstavuje poznanie účastníčky, nie pozorovateľky. S fotografiou tu Zigová pracuje ako s telesným a afektívnym médiom – obrazy vznikali bez odstupu, fotoaparát bol priamou súčasťou jej tela a jednotlivých zobrazovaných situácií. Zigovej denník je situovaný v noci, v tele, v prekarite, v kamarátstvach, v mestách, ktoré do jej života prišli a znova odišli. Zaznamenáva hybnosť komunity v móde prežitia. Ľudia na jej záberoch žijú v blízkosti neistej budúcnosti, pre ekonomickú a sociálnu krehkosť súčasnosti.
Výstava, ktorá tematizuje prekaritu nielen ako zraniteľnosť, ale aj ako priestor solidarity, radosti a odporu voči normatívnym predstavám života a času sa ponesie v duchu archívu prežitia, mikro-histórie písanej telom, nocou a kolektívnym tancom cez trosky.

Gabriela Zigová’s exhibition at the Nová Vlna Gallery in Trenčín presents her latest artist’s book, Dancing Through The Debris, through projections, installations, photographs, and performance.
The publication offers a photographic summation of the period in the artist's life spent as a member of communities and subcultures surrounding the club scene. Rather than documenting this environment in a conventional sense, the work maps states of being in which the subject does not separate from the community she depicts. It embodies the knowledge of a participant rather than that of an observer. Here, Zigová approaches photography as a bodily and affective medium – images were created without distance; the camera functioned as a direct extension of her body and of the situations depicted. Her diary unfolds at night, in the body, in precarity, in friendships, and in cities that entered her life and then receded. It captures the momentum of a community operating in survival mode. The people in her photographs live in close proximity to an uncertain future, shaped by the economic and social fragility of the present.
The exhibition addresses precarity not only as vulnerability but also as a state of solidarity, joy, and resistance to normative conceptions of life and time. It unfolds in the spirit of an archive of survival, a micro-history written through the body, the night, and a collective dance through the debris.
