O podujatí
Pozývame vás na prvé jesenné Meet & Greet stretnutie, kde budete mať možnosť osobne spoznať naše nové rezidenčné umelkyne Nyx Günther a Weroniku Trojańsku.
Počas večera nám predstavia svoju umeleckú prax, priblížia niektoré zo svojich najzaujímavejších projektov a porozprávajú viac o tom, čomu sa budú venovať počas svojej dvojmesačnej rezidencie. Stretnutie je otvorené nielen pre tých, ktorí sa chcú dozvedieť viac o ich práci, ale pre všetkých, ktorí majú chuť stráviť príjemný večer v tvorivej atmosfére Šopa Gallery.

Nyx Günther (DE) je začínajúca multimediálna umelkyňa z Mníchova. Pochádza z prostredia IT a technológií a špecializuje sa na oblasti ako programovanie grafiky, kódové umenie, simulácie či interaktívne a herné umenie. Takýmto prístupom využíva technológie ako umelecké médium, ktoré predstavuje rozhranie medzi osobnými identitami a kolektívnymi identitami na spoločenskej úrovni.
Weronika Trojańska (PL) je interdisciplinárna umelkyňa pracujúca so zvukom, stelesnením a politikou apropriácie. V rámci svojej praxe sa pohybuje medzi performanciou a zvukovou inštaláciou, pričom skúma psychoakustiku ľudského tela – muzikálnosť reči, ticha a smiechu – a to, ako tieto formujú sociálnu identitu. Do svojho procesu často prizýva aj iných, čím vytvára spoločné priestory, ktoré spochybňujú úlohy umelca, publika a umeleckého diela.
Rezidenčný program z verejných zdrojov podporil Fond na podporu umenia. Fond na podporu umenia je hlavným partnerom projektu. Projekt ďalej podporili Mesto Košice a Košický samosprávny kraj.
Rezidencia Nyx Günther je organizovaná v spolupráci so Schafhof – European Art Forum Upper Bavaria. Rezidenčný pobyt Weroniky Trojańskej je organizovaný vďaka spolupráci s rezidenčným centrom AIR Wro.

We invite you to the first autumn Meet & Greet, where you will have the opportunity to personally meet our new artists-in-residence, Nyx Günther and Weronika Trojańska.
During the evening, they will introduce their artistic practice, share some of their most interesting projects, and talk more about what they plan to work on during their two-month residency. The event is open not only to those who wish to learn more about their work, but also to everyone who would like to spend a pleasant evening in the creative atmosphere of Šopa Gallery.

Nyx Günther (DE) is an up and coming multimedia artist from Munich. Coming from a
background based in IT and technology she specializes in areas such as graphics programming, code art, simulations and interactive and game-art. With this approach she utilizes technology as an artistic medium which presents an interface between personal identities and collective ones on a societal level.
Weronika Trojańska (PL) is an interdisciplinary artist working with sound, embodiment, and the politics of appropriation. Working between performance and sound installation, she explores the psychoacoustics of the human body—the musicality of speech, silence, and laughter—and how these shape social identity. She often invites others into her process, creating shared spaces that question the roles of artist, audience, and artwork.
The residency program is supported using public funding by the Slovak Arts Council. The Slovak Arts Council is the main partner of this project. The project was also supported by the City of Košice and the Košice Self-Governing Region.
The residency of Nyx Günther is organized in collaboration with Schafhof – European Art Forum Upper Bavaria. The residency of Weronika Trojańska is organized thanks to the partnership with the residency centre AIR Wro.
