Podujatie predstaví dve výrazné osobnosti súčasnej francúzskej performance scény.
Michel Collet je básnik a performer, výskumný spolupracovník v sieti Hexagram (UQAM). Je členom medzinárodnej redakčnej rady časopisu Inter Art Actuel (Quebec). Zaoberá sa výskumom umenia akcie, performance, poézie a zvuku. Je spoluriaditeľom festivalu Blago Bung Event, organizovaného v spolupráci s Emily Harvey Foundation (New York). Publikuje v oblasti umenia a poézie. Nedávno spolu s E. Létourneauom koordinoval teoretické dielo Art performance manœuvre coefficients de visibilité, vydané vydavateľstvom Presses du réel (Francúzsko).
Valentine Verhaeghe pravidelne prezentuje svoju tvorbu v oblasti performance umenia v Európe a Severnej Amerike. Venuje sa akademickému výskumu na pomedzí humanitných vied a estetiky. Je spoluzakladateľkou edičnej série Mobile Album International a kurátorkou viacerých výstav a podujatí, napríklad náhodnej hry L’immortelle mort du monde od R. Filliou v New Yorku (Artist’s Institute). Nedávno spolupracovala s Valerianom Malym na podujatí La République Géniale (R. Filliou) v Kunstmuseum v Berne. V súčasnosti spravuje archív umelca Roberta Filliou a pripravuje viacero publikácií. Jej tvorba pracuje s formami prezentácie a reprezentácie, vychádzajúc z telesného zážitku a tela ako média v rozšírenom chápaní umenia. Jej intervencie vstupujú do priestoru a každodennosti, aby odhalili genius loci.

The event introduces two distinct voices of the contemporary French performance scene.
Michel Collet is a poet and performer, research associate at Hexagram (UQAM). He is a member of the international editorial board of Inter Art Actuel magazine (Quebec). His research focuses on art-action, performance, poetry, and sound. He is co-director of the Blago Bung Event festival, organized in collaboration with the Emily Harvey Foundation (New York). He publishes in the fields of art and poetry. Recently, together with E. Létourneau, he co-coordinated the theoretical publication Art performance manœuvre coefficients de visibilité, published by Presses du réel (France).
Valentine Verhaeghe regularly presents her performance work across Europe and North America. She develops academic research at the intersection of humanities and aesthetics. She is co-founder of the publication series Mobile Album International and has curated numerous exhibitions and events, including the random play L’immortelle mort du monde by R. Filliou at the Artist’s Institute in New York. More recently, she collaborated with Valerian Maly on La République Géniale (R. Filliou) at the Kunstmuseum in Bern. She currently manages the archive of artist Robert Filliou and is preparing several publications. Her work engages with forms of presentation and representation, emerging from bodily experience and the body as medium within an expanded view of art. Her interventions inhabit space and everyday life to reveal the genius loci.
The lecture by Michel Collet and the workshop led by Valentine Verhaeghe will take place as part of the KEGA research project “EDU PERFORM ACTION” no. 002AU-4/2024.
