Výstava Miroslava Kormoša INERTIA sa pohybuje v priestore medzi dokumentom a osobnou výpoveďou o kolektívnej skúsenosti spoločnosti. Autor nepovažuje minulosť za uzavretú kapitolu, ale za niečo, čo stále presakuje do prítomnosti. Miesto, zaseknuté v čase sa v autorových fotografiách mení na obraz širšieho stavu spoločnosti. Symboly strácajú istotu a svetlo odhaľuje iba toľko, koľko je potrebné na to, aby sme si uvedomili, čo všetko zostáva mimo záberu.
Časť projektu je na výstave predstavená prostredníctvom viacerých inštalácií, v ktorých sa fotografia stáva len jednou z vrstiev výsledného obrazu. Svetlo, zvuk, pohyb, materiál aj spôsob akým sa divák pozerá rozširujú fotografický súbor do priestoru a menia ho na prežitú skúsenosť.
Kurátorkou výstavy je Vanda Mesiariková.

Miroslav Kormoš’s exhibition INERTIA unfolds in the space between documentary and a personal reflection on the collective experience of society. The artist does not regard the past as a closed chapter, but as something that continues to seep into the present. In his photographs, places suspended in time become images of a broader social condition. Symbols lose their certainty, while light reveals only as much as is necessary to make us aware of everything that remains beyond the frame.
Part of the project is presented through a series of installations in which photography becomes just one layer of the resulting image. Light, sound, movement, materiality, and the way the viewer looks all extend the photographic series into space, transforming it into a lived experience.
The exhibition is curated by Vanda Mesiariková and will run until 30 August 2026.
