The new studios of the Department of Art Education have been designed to provide an inspiring environment for future art teachers, both for classical art industries and new media. This problem was solved by the project of the new extension of the studios, which the faculty commissioned for implementation. On the site of the construction were originally three buildings from different periods: the pavilion of the former shooting range Department of the Department of Education, Trafost station and a newly added elevator serving the neighboring historic building. The construction of the studios is characterized by three blocks, heights of the various floors of art spaces complemented by a terrace. The studios are designed as creative laboratories with sufficient storage space and admitted design elements that allow optimal environment for students and educators. Large windows provide enough natural light, which is crucial for creative activities, and spacious interiors allow effective work. Another interesting feature of this modern building is sensitive integration into the existing development of the faculty and its surroundings. The cleanliness of the orthogonal mass of the building is underlined by a smooth white ground plaster and large -scale frameless glazing, which represent the only elements beyond normal construction production. The inner concrete surfaces are united by white paint and epoxy coating, which contributes to the uniform and fresh appearance of space. Faculty building systems.
