Max Golenz and Diego Hagen are not only German-language vice team champions in 2023 in the Poetry Slam, modest teachers, aspiring rappers, comedians and word acrobats, but with their reading show bread & games in their regular location: the bread factory. Brot & Games is a full -length program of literature, music, art and gimmick.
After a deserved summer break, the duo is now in the starting blocks with issue #10 and the motto »Spring feelings in autumn« to swim on the really important topics. So it is read again, rhymed, sung and rap-live, in color and only with you!
Max Golenz, born in 1991 in Berlin-Köpenick, studied German and history in Greifswald. Since 2011 he has been performing on German-language slam stages, comedy stages and cabaret stages. He is the Berlin-Brandenburg champion in the Poetry Slam 2022 and Vice Champion 2025. Various texts have already been published in several slam anthologies, as recently in the »Poetry Slam Fibel 2.0« (Satyr Verlag, 2020). He lives and works as a high school teacher in Berlin.
Diego Hagen, born in 1987 in Berlin-Lichterfelde, studied German and English in Greifswald and Rostock. Since 2010 he has been a slam poet, musician and moderator on German stages-the rest of the time he stands in front of his students as a teacher and is also a triple poetry slam state champion Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In addition to creative output, he also successfully publishes learning videos on his YouTube channel.
