The human brain is malleable, especially in the first years of life. This malleability is the basis for learning and development, but it also makes the brain vulnerable to what children experience. On June 23rd, the Elementary Education Network Austria (NeBÖ), the Child and Youth Advocate (KIJA) Vienna and the Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA) together with Isabella Sarto-Jackson invite you to the event Book presentation in the Education Lab. The neuroscientist presents her new book "Trauma and the Brain" and combines findings from neuroscience, psychology, education and evolutionary biology to create a new understanding of how childhood is shaped.
