About event
As part of the Czech Radio Jazz Fest 2024 festival, Aaron Park's Little Big, Trio Vedovelli & Flagar & Eberle, Dorota Barová and Miloš Klápště will perform on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 19:00.
Aaron Parks Little Big - Composer and pianist Aaron Parks will perform as part of the festival with his Little Big project. Aaron Parks started to make a name for himself at the turn of the millennium. In the 1990s, he drew attention mainly as Terence Blanchard's sideman. He achieved real success thanks to his fifth album Invisible Cinema from 2008, released by the prestigious Blue Note label. The Little Big record represents a deliberate return to the electric sound of Invisible Cinema. In the same cast with electric guitar, bass guitar and drums, albeit with new musicians. The sound of the album was again inspired by, among other things, the indie-rock scene. Aaron Parks - piano, Greg Tuohey - guitar, Simon Jermyn - bass and Tommy Crane - drums will perform.
Trio Vedovelli & Flagar & Eberle is a very interesting young trio from Austria. Trumpet, saxophone and double bass in novel musical arrangements and compositions. The trio will perform in the composition of Martin Eberle – trumpet, Štěpán Flagar – tenor saxophone and Tobias Vedovelli – bass.
Dorota Barová and Miloš Klápště – Barová brings to the album Dotyk a collection of new original songs and texts she recorded in a trio with guitarist Miroslav Chyška and bassist Miloš Klápště. With its intimate mood and refined simplicity, Touch loosely follows on from the previous Illusion. *"The album 'Dotyk' is about meetings and moments, short and seemingly insignificant, but ultimately able to cause a storm and big changes in life. It is about finding reconciliation not only with oneself. It's not just about love. The song is about the fragility and power of touch," says its author Dorota Barová about the album. This time she will perform only in a duo, Dorota Barová – vocals and Miloš Klápště – bass, synthesizers, vocals.
