Count Basie's Album

William James Basie, known worldwide as Count Basie, was a legendary American jazz pianist, organist, composer and bandleader, one of the most important creators and popularizers of the swing era. His orchestra defined the big band sound and became synonymous with swing elegance, precision and the joy of rhythm. It was active for more than fifty years and survived even during the decline of big bands after the Second World War. Basie left an indelible musical legacy and rightfully has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Under the leadership of conductor Chris Egan, The Loop Jazz Orchestra will hear the best from the pen of the king of swing.
