Strolling through the gardens of Prague Castle
When? On Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 4:00 p.m.
We will walk through the area of the northern and southern royal gardens that surround Prague Castle and you will learn not only about history, but also interesting things connected with individual corners of the area.
And what will we talk about?
- how was it with the great love of Ferdinand I and Anna Jagiellon
- where they lived our presidents
- where we have the emblem of the five-year anniversary at Míčovná
- where the animals were kept at Prague Castle
- Josip Plečnik and his work - was it previously a LEGO cube or the Bull Staircase?
- where did Slavata and Martinic end up during the defenestration in 1618
- where is Hartigovská Garden - newly opened this year
Meeting point: Before entering the Royal Garden (tram stop: Královský letohrádek)
Duration: The walk will take about 1.5 hours and then we can continue for coffee.
Difficulty: Walk through the southern and northern gardens – length, stairs.
Price: When buying a ticket in advance, it is 150 CZK for an adult and 100 CZK for a child from 6-15 years old. If there is a free seat, you can buy a ticket on the spot for 200 CZK.
