Dodo Gombár: V reči stromu

The Doda Gombár game was created as part of the Green Drama project, aimed at exploring the possibilities of eco-dramaturgy in the contemporary theater. The author compares the text to meditation and brings an important topic of coexistence between man and everything that surrounds him in the environment of nature. It brings an intimate and universal story of a man and "his" tree - an old apple tree, alongside which in a parent house in the countryside, surrounded by orchard, grew up. Perspectives are turning - we are not only monitored what a person says about nature, but empathically and fragile we listen to what the world of trees would say about us if we let them speak. Against the background of the dilapidated relationship of the marriage couple in crisis and attempting to save it, the relationship of people to a devastated country, often subordinate, often insensitively to our needs, mirrors the relationship of people. Let's try to stop for a while in time, to dig into words, sounds, images and explore our own deeply recessed roots. Together we are faced with a challenge to grasp the climate crisis and try to reverse it in our favor, not despair and seek our own way to hope for life in close contact with nature, with which we are organically connected.
