Explore: Siksa + Sturle Dagsland

In cooperation with the Sharpe showcase festival, Nová Cvernovka presents the Explore format, where it regularly presents young interesting musical groups on the European scene. The thirteenth edition of the series features Siksa from Poland and Sturle Dagsland from Norway.

Siksa:

A feminist duo that combines voice, bass, lyrics and bodies. Siksa concerts combine the energy of a punk concert, performative poetry or contemporary dance. Thanks to the interaction with the audience, each performance acquires unique dramatic qualities. In the limitation of instruments and stage presence, the duo finds the strength to go their own way. Sometimes this journey is based on childhood memories, other times on fairy tales and legends, or on reality transformed by the unfettered and unbound vision of Siksa. In their work, the personal meets the political and the unspoken meets the deafening. Siksa played more than 300 concerts all over Europe, from small clubs and squats, through contemporary art galleries to the biggest European festivals.

Sturle Dagsland:

An artist from Norway who bends the boundaries of genres. With a wild and unique performance, he captivates the audience and takes listeners on an adventurous, surreal and beautiful journey. He frequently performs at festivals around the world, from Shanghai to New York, creating music with a dark, ethereal and irresistible intensity that captivates audiences and leaves no one indifferent.
