J.D. Zelenka: Psalmi Vespertini III

The spectacular set of psalms in the program Psalmi Vespertini III. performed by Ensemble Inégal and Dresdner Kammerchor under the direction of Adam Viktora will be on the program of the final concert on Wednesday, October 16, the anniversary of Zelenka's baptism. The same program will also be performed on Sunday, October 13, in the Annenkirche church in Dresden.

In a joint performance by Ensemble Inégal and Dresdner Kammerchor under the direction of Adam Viktora, Zelenk's third undisputed cycle Psalmi Vespertini III will be heard. The composition of this and the other three cycles is related to the increase in Zelenka's importance and prestige in the environment of his place of work, the royal band in Dresden. From the second half of the 18th century, the composer Zelenka also worked here as a bandleader and for this reason began to build his own repertoire consisting of his own works and compositions by his contemporaries.
