Kampa is often associated with the octopus swimming devil or the end of water springs in the Czech Republic. For centuries, it has been a venue for the renowned pottery markets and is one of the leading attractions of tourists. Above all, however, it is a green island, which today offers space for relaxation and rest at the very core of old Prague. It reflects the variety of life; It is possible to find not only the houses of the burgher, but also the residents of the embassies, the only water palace in Prague, the villa of artists, mills, but also the homes of those who had deep into their pockets and whose names mostly ignored the great history. Fortunately, the plans were ignored, which in the 20th century intended to destroy the Kampa, and so it behaved in its simple beauty, but it is necessary to still defend.
