Open House Praha
Open House Praha, z. ú., is a non-state non-profit organization that organizes the Open House Festival of the same name and is also dedicated to year-round activities for the general public. The world festival, for which the organization received an international license, was held in the Czech Republic for the first time in 2015. Since then, it has become one of the most important cultural events in Prague. Every year, the festival opens dozens of normally inaccessible buildings during one weekend in May and also prepares a rich accompanying weekly program. The concept of the festival originated in London in 1992 under the leadership of founder Victoria Thornton, who was awarded the Order of the British Empire for her work. Open House Prague is a proud part of the international network Open House Prague Worldwide, uniting more than 50 cities on 5 continents. Open House Prague opens the city to everyone, prepares programs for children, people with medical disabilities and also participates in the development of volunteerism. Architecture is part of everyday life and with Open House Prague it is possible to get to know the city in a non-traditional way. na-akce-open-house-praha/ouqq/">here.
