About event
The La Rosa Ensemble is a musical formation with the Moroccan singer Anass Habib, the French accordionist Benoît Rey, and the Dutch-Turabic guitarist and 'UD player Göksel Yilmaz. They bring contemporary interpretations of Sephardic and Arabic songs in an intimate setting.
Sephardic music comes from the Jewish population from medieval Spain and Portugal. After their expulsion by the Christians at the end of the 15th century, they spread over North Africa, the Balkans and Asia Minor, where their language (Ladino), culture and music were influenced by the countries where they settled.
The La Rosa Ensemble takes the audience on a musical song along the Middelle-lean, with the Arab-Arabelele Sea, with the Arab-Arabelele Sea, with the Arab-Arab Song, with the Arabdelle Sea, with the Arabdel Van Homesis and desire, which is central to this music.
