Presentation of Lucia Tkáčová's art project for the Faculty Hospital in Trenčín as part of the Na poččanie project / EHMK 2026
The first artistic intervention in a public space as part of the Waiting Places / EHMK 2026 project will be presented to the public by visual artist Lucia Tkáčová. She chose a hospital as the place of her intervention. Public space, which is an integral part of every city, but often remains on the edge of our interest.
Lucia Tkáčová is preparing a series of artworks for the Faculty Hospital in Trenčín, among them author's bed sheets for one of the departments.
At the meeting with the author, we will talk about the healing potential of art, the effect of beauty on healing and the fact that even small gestures can improve everyday life experiencing. You will learn the latest neuroaesthetic knowledge about the influence of colors and shapes on the human brain, as well as how artistic means can dampen pain and bring relief to suffering bodies and minds.
Come with us to visit the hospital in Trenčín, become sensitive to the world of the sick and realize your own fleeting and yet self-evident health.
