Na Hrad za Plečnikem

Prague Castle, an ancient symbol of the Czech state and the largest castle complex in the world. After taking office, President T. G. Masaryk called Slovenian architect Josip Plečnik and commissioned him to restore the former royal castle of glory and shine and turn it into a dignified headquarters of the newly formed state. The route will lead from the garden to Valech, the Garden of Tomato, through the third and first courtyard of Prague Castle to the garden in Baště. It will be possible to look at the bull staircase, monumental Plečnik's balustrade, obelisk, explore the garden pavilions and other small objects or modifications that Plečnik and his collaborator Otto Rothmayer left here. Participants will also learn where the private presidential entrance to the gardens or what role played Alice Masaryková in the reconstruction of Prague Castle. The organizer of the tour is the non-profit organization Open House Praha, z. Safety frames, for a mast from Plečnik's exhibition.
