The developments of the last few years complete the new character of the district around the main train station: On the one hand, that Sonnwendviertel East, with the Bloch-Bauer Promenade as a pedestrian zone and small-scale mixed buildings on both sides, on the other hand the “Neues Landgut” district opposite Columbusplatz, characterized by urban density with an educational campus, community buildings, library, offices and restaurants around the new Walter Kuhn Park.
