The developments of the last few years complete the new character of the district around the main train station: On the one hand, that Sonnwendviertel East, with the Bloch-Bauer-Promenade as a pedestrian zone and a small-scale, diverse mix of shops, residential and commercial areas; on the other hand, the “Neues Landgut” district opposite Columbusplatz, characterized by urban density with an educational campus, community building, library, offices and restaurants around the new Walter Kuhn Park.
