About event

Prouza, Jerusalem and Tyvole will perform at the Rock Café on January 9.

Backing band – Tyvole:

  • Tyvole is a big beat band from Prague-Dobřichov playing Czech songs with Czech lyrics. According to her musical role models, she would prefer to classify herself in the "guitarist" genre. In 2024, the band Tyvole recorded their first album Na parketách.

Prouza:

  • Prouza is a Czech music group, genre-wise moving between post punk and alternative pop-rock. The formation of the band is officially dated from 1989, but in fact, with some changes in the name (originally Brumer's Prouza) and the personnel, the band has been around since 1981. Prouza from the region of the nineties became more widely known, thanks to songs like On the outside, Everything just like, This is the place or Facing the back. Prouza has 4 albums to his credit, collaborations on visuals and TV shows with the world-renowned filmmaker David Ondříček and Czech Television, several rarities, singles, countless participations in music compilations and hundreds of concerts. The line-up around bassist Bronislav Svoboda and guitarist Vladimír Frank (both from 1981–present) currently consists of singer Tomáš Gavlas (2022–present), drummer Alex Buš (2023–present) and guitarist Radovan Typovský (since 2024).

Jerusalem:

  • The group was formed more than 30 years ago. She worked with shorter or longer breaks, and this year she got back together after another one of them to start giving concerts again. It moves on the border between gothic-rock and pop, and since the beginning of its existence it has focused on its own original work. Jerusalem was close to the Ocean and Shalom groups in the beginning. A certain sense of belonging continued and culminated at the turn of the millennium in the collaboration of the singer Jan Dvořák with Petr Muk. “We wrote the music and lyrics for the album 'V kruh' when we were all about 23 years old. The album is basically anti-war. Now that we have started rehearsing this material again, I realized how little has changed," Jan Dvořák reflects on the album and adds to the bonus track: "The song 'What lies at my feet / Love that dangerous thing', has the opposite story - years later I realized that we must not be afraid of love…”
