Radnice městské části Brno-Sever, Kumpoštova noclehárna

The interwar construction of Kumpošt dormitory today serves as the Town Hall of the Brno-sever city district, which bears the elements of the former genius loci with it. The dormitory built in 1924 by the Brno Building Office in Bratislava Street, according to the architect Jindřich Kumpošt, represented an emergency solution for homeless people or in a critical financial situation. In the context of the minimum housing, which was dealt with by a number of architects during the housing crisis, it was an extreme case, the dormitory should temporarily offer people in need at least basic social background and bed. There were always three spacious bedrooms in each part, large washrooms and sanitary facilities on four floors.
