About event
The František Báleš Ensemble, in cooperation with the Artvin civic association, presents the 4th annual artistic and educational event called With Hviezdoslav do lavíc.
The beauty of the poetry of Slovak poets - Smrek, Kostra, Dilong, Rúfus, Janko Kráľ and Hviezdoslav, will be heard in the form of attractive songs in the interpretation of the quartet, which won the Radio Head Awards and the Esprit Jazz Awards for its work. In addition to rhythmically melodic games and an interactive lecture, the audience will enjoy the following topics: "Have you ever heard the jazzed-up Hviezdoslav? How is a melody created for the text of a poem? What do music and poetry have in common?" will take away an experience in the form of a concert in which original compositions from the ensemble's previous two albums (Sonnets and Musical Poems) will be heard, as well as from the upcoming new CD, which will be released in the spring of next year.
Entrance to the event is free.
Performers:
František Báleš piano, author of the music and lecturer of the project, Matúš Uhliarik singing, Vladimír Máčaj double bass, Juraj Šušaník percussion instruments.
