SANAM + support: Gnäw

Sanam will perform together with Gnäw on July 7, 2025 in the Villa Štvanice. The creation of the band Sanam combines traditional Arabic musical elements with genres such as post-rock, ambient, noise and free jazz. In its music it uses both traditional tools, such as buzq and modern electronics. The characteristic feature of their work is strong emphasis on improvisation, sound experimentation and cultural context, often supported by the use of Arab poetry and literary texts. In their experimental music compositions, they use traditional Persian and Finnish instruments that combine with modular synthesizers. Through improvisation, it creates a transition sound landscape with a certain dose of psychedelia and back.
