Residence and workshop with Mikolt Tózsa (HU)
What does "home" mean to us? Where does the belonging begin - and when does the departure become inevitable? The residence invites participants to discover the topic of home and belonging at the time of resettlement, movement and internal search. Through the nonverbal language of the postmodern theater, we examine dilemmas between staying and departure, the experience of home and identity issues. Participants work with their own experiences, physical memory and social reflexes in a collective yet autonomous creative process. The workshop is based on the video theater technique and focuses on non -verbal, form disturbing performance approaches. Using individual and group exercises, participants experiment, play, reflect and share. Together we discuss traditional theatrical structures and we re -compose them from both personal and political perspectives. Tózsa (HU)
Under the leadership of Mikolt Tózsa, performer and theater creator, graduates of the program of theater and Performance on FreeSzfe. Her work is based on critical theory, social involvement and performance experiments that push the boundaries of artistic expression. He sees the theater as an event in which the audience becomes an active participant. Mikolt is a co -founder of the National Performance Collective team and presented her solo and collective works at festivals such as Thealter (Szeged), Teszt (Timișoara), Dream Factory (Ostrava) and HA (Berlin). Creations under the leadership of experienced lecturers from the V4 countries - Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. In the open and creative space Družba Drama Studio in Trenčín will create four short stage shapes that reflect the personal experience of the participants and their joint work. The aim of the residences is to connect professional artists with the local community, to support creativity and enable viewers to look into the process of the creation of the theater work. The results of each residence will be publicly presented and supplemented by discussions with the creators. The project offers a new way to perceive the theater - as a space for cooperation, dialogue and sharing. At the same time, it creates a model that can inspire other artistic initiatives in Trenčín and outside.
