Spicy Depository: Shake That Narrative

We will start the two-day community program in English with a joint experience dinner, supplemented by the interpretation and activities of the group Yesterday was late, where we will tune in to the wave of getting to know each other. After dark on Wednesday, the courtyard of the museum will be transformed into a summer cinema, where we will show the documentary The Story of Jenin. The screening will be followed by an open discussion with the director of the film.

We will open the second day with a sound-movement-theatre workshop open to everyone led by artist Dorota Matejová and Ehab Ghafri. Together we will explore our personal stories, emotions, identities and mutual connections through movement, sound, theatrical elements and collective activities and discover new forms of artistic resistance and activism.

The output from the workshop will serve as a pre-jumping entry before the premiere concert of the Palestinian musician Ahmed Eid in Bratislava, which will be followed by the Viennese Arab-queer collective Klub Halal. He will bring hot and nostalgic club beats to the after-party in the unique premises of the Old Town Hall.
