Baklava, Ma'amoul or Halawet el-Jibn - in this one In the workshop you will learn how the most popular sweets from Syria are made step by step. Together with Jawad and Sulaiman Alsakka, the owner's sons, you will learn everything about ingredients, preparation and the little tricks that make the taste unmistakable. With great passion and expertise, they continue the family tradition and provide an authentic insight into the world of Syrian confectionery art. 🍬🇸🇾

About the actors:
The Damascus Syrian Confectionery stands for high-quality, handmade specialties based on traditional recipes. The workshop is led by Jawad and Sulaiman Alsakka, who continue the family craft with dedication and attention to detail.

Photo and video recordings are taken at all "Gönn Dir Gastro" workshops. These are used for public relations work by Berlin Food Week GmbH and the respective restaurants in print media, on the website and in social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).

Ticket sale:
You must order workshop tickets before the workshop, the number of participants for the Workshop is limited. Participation in this workshop costs 5 euros (also for students) and is free with a student ID. Why are we offering paid tickets this year? The restaurants put a lot of effort into creating a pleasant experience for you. Unfortunately, in recent years, workshops have often been booked and then not attended. We thought that was a shame because other interested parties couldn't take part. The fee is intended to ensure that this happens less. The money will be donated to the #proudtokellner initiative.
