About event
A walk through Prague's Bubeneč villa colony will take participants to the residences of one of the wealthiest families of the First Republic. The Petsch family owned more than ten houses in Bubench, some built according to the project of their "court" architect Max Spielmann. During the walk, participants will learn where the individual members of the Prague branch of the Petschk lived, as well as a number of other interesting facts from their history, such as the marriage strategy they chose across generations or how the settlement between them and the Czechoslovak Republic took place in the 1980s for part of the confiscated property based on the Beneš decrees. Part of the walk is also an ascent along a secret path leading around the famous Villa Bianca.
Lecturer of the commented walk is Michal Šedivý. The profit from this event goes to support the activities of the non-profit organization Open House Praha, z. ú..
