About event
TEACCH program - An effective tool for working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Who is the lecture intended for?
-parents/caregivers of children with ASD
-pedagogical and professional staff of schools and school facilities
-social workers
What will we cover during the lecture?
TEACCH program I.
In the first module, we will define what the TEACCH program is, the origin, goal and essence of the program, the basic principles of the program. We will take a closer look at the first two principles: individual approach, structuring - structure of space and time.
TEACCH program II.
In the second module, we will add information about the structure of the activity and approach another principle - visualization. We will talk about the visualization of space, time, activity, communication process.
TEACCH program III.
In the third module, we will focus on the last four principles:
-pupil motivation,
-guiding behavior,
-teaching methods,
-cooperation with the pupil's family.
The lecture will be supplemented with practical inputs, based on the lecturer's many years of experience in educating students with ASD.
At the end of each module there will be a space for questions.
