TEACCH program - An effective tool when working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
The program represents a priority methodology for the education of children and students with ASD in practice, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Who is the lecture intended for?
-parents/caregivers of children with ASD
-pedagogical and professional staff of schools and school facilities
-social workers
What will we focus on during lectures?
TEACCH program I.
In the first module, we will define what the TEACCH program is, the origin, goal and essence of the program, the basic principles of the program. We will take a closer look at the first two principles: individual approach, structuring - the structure of space and time.
TEACCH program II.
In the second module, we will add information about the structure of the activity and approach another principle - visualization. We will talk about visualization of space, time, activity, communication process.
TEACCH program III.
In the third module, we will focus on the last four principles:
-motivation of the student,
-guiding behavior,
-teaching methods,
-cooperation with the student's family.
The lecture will be supplemented with practical inputs based on many years of experience female lecturers in the education of students with ASD.
At the end of each module there will be a space for questions.
