Tomáš Kačo – vánoční recitál

Tomáš Kačo, pianist, composer and arranger with the ability to improvise and connect different musical genres, for his Christmas recital chose songs that have accompanied him since childhood and are among his most popular. He creates the atmosphere of Christmas with his treatment of traditional Czech and international carols such as Pasli ovce valaši or I want to sleep. He will also pay tribute to the creators who forever influenced his childhood with their songs. Original variations on Černé oči or Túlácké ráno, songs from his album My Home, will be heard. During the concert, Kačo will also present his own work, Nocturno from the cycle Stronger than yesterday, which he wrote for the Prague Philharmonia Orchestra. The Christmas recital in Artio is the only Prague concert where Tomáš will introduce himself to the Czech audience after a long time after touring the world.

Tomáš Kačo is not only a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, applauding Carnegie Hall or the number of recitals performed in Europe and the USA as a symbol of fulfilled dreams. The youngest generation also helps them, among other things in the role of professional mentor of piano talents supported by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation. At the beginning of the evening, the audience will be introduced to the promising 17-year-old Vladimír Slavíček, a scholarship recipient of the foundation, whose studies, in addition to playing the piano, also include the field of electronic music, arranging and his own creation.
