Tomáš Kačo

The journey of Tomáš Kač, a pianist with talent and diligence, but also a composer and arranger, is a story of fulfilled life dreams. His solo recitals are mainly based on improvisation, with which he develops his style based on the fusion of classical, jazz and traditional Roma music. His musical path is described by critics as unique. Tomáš Kačo composes and arranges music for choirs and orchestras and is also dedicated to film music. He prepares topics for the organizers.

Tomáš Kačo has given many recitals in Europe and the USA. In 2021, commissioned by the Czech Philharmonic, he composed variations on the theme of well-known Czech opera arias called Fantasy Open Air for the final Open Air concert of the 125th season. For the ceremonial opening concert of the presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the European Union, he wrote a composition called Stronger than Yesterday for the PKF – Prague Philharmonia orchestra, which was premiered in July 2022 in the Rudolfinum in Prague and subsequently in the Brussels cultural center Palais des beaux- arts – Bozar. On the day of Czech statehood, September 28, 2023, he received the Silver Medal from the hands of the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. As a thank you to all those who helped him, he organized a concert in the Riding Hall of the Prague Castle under the auspices of the President of the Republic Peter Pavl and the First Lady Eva Pavlova entitled Stronger than yesterday.

After graduating from the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, Prague Music Academy of Performing Arts and Berklee College of Music lives in Los Angeles. He openly says that he is not only in the United States for himself - he wants to be an example for other Roma children with his "obsession with music". Applauding Carnegie Hall is one of life's dream variants. Tomáš symbolically released his debut My Home, on which multiple Grammy award winner John Patitucci, Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý, Kühn's children's choir and his younger sister Veronika are guests, on October 28, 2018. A series of five singles were released in December 2020 during the pandemic. He plays with traditional Czech carols and pays tribute to L. v. Beethoven in the composition For Ludvig, yours Elise. In 2022, he releases the single Nocturne – Stronger than yesterday. In 2023, he released the EP Live from Prague - a selection of songs from his recital at Studio Dva in Prague. Six years later, he releases an album called My Songbook, which invites you on a poetic journey through the cult Czech songbook of the second half of the last century.
