About event
We invite you to the continuation of the exhibition Faces of Parkinson, which change the view of Parkinson's disease.
After the successful opening in Bratislava, which we prepared on the occasion of World Parkinson's Day, the exhibition continues to travel around Slovakia. The next stop is Nitra.
We will open the exhibition on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 17:00 at the Regional Education Center in Nitra at Fatranska 3.
Parkinson's disease does not deserve attention only one day a year. We should not only talk about it on World Parkinson's Day. It is a disease that people live with every day. That is why it is important that awareness continues, that Parkinson's disease is talked about.
The Faces of Parkinson's exhibition is not just a photo exhibition. It is an exhibition of people, their stories, strength, emotions, relationships and everyday life with a diagnosis that is still surrounded by many stereotypes and silence.
We want to show that Parkinson's disease does not only affect the elderly. People of productive age also live with it, work, raise children, create, play sports, plan and look for a way to live life as fully as possible.
The opening of the exhibition will also include a discussion with Janka Zubčáková, president of OZ ProParkinson SK, and with special guest MUDr. Martin Buranský, who specializes in Parkinson's disease.
We will be happy if you come to see the portraits, talk, ask questions, meet people with Parkinson's disease and support the spread of awareness.
We look forward to seeing you in Nitra.
