Velký strahovský stadion – z tribuny na tribunu

Thanks to Open House Prague, it will be possible to look inside one of the largest sports stadiums in the world. The guided tour of the Great Strahov Stadium takes participants to the presidential lounge, the west stand or the walkways. It will be possible to learn more about the history of this colossus, which in the past hosted all-Sokol gatherings, spartakiades, concerts and military parades, and whose original part is now under monument protection. At the end of the tour, there is one more surprise. The brave can climb 130 steps to the so-called "greenhouse", the place where the entrance gate used to be, and where amazing views of the entire stadium open up.

The instructor of the guided walk is Martina Dvořáková, guide and long-term volunteer *Open House Prague.

The organizer is the non-profit organization *Open House Praha, z. ú. The profit from this event goes to support its activities.

Practical information:

• The meeting place is in front of the gatehouse of the Great Strahov Stadium, which is located by the connecting bridge with the Evžen Rošického Stadium. Access by car to the parking lot in front of the gatehouse (and under the bridge) is possible, parking is not charged. The guide's telephone contact in case of an "emergency" will be listed on the ticket.
• The expected duration of the event is approx. 1.5 hours.
• In the selected areas, you must be careful with regard to the condition of the building and follow the guide's instructions. Entry to the stadium is at your own risk. We recommend appropriate, preferably hiking shoes, due to the uneven surface (heels are completely unsuitable).
• There is a strict ban on the entry of animals.
• The capacity of the group is limited, tickets can only be purchased in advance.
• The guide will not wear a mask during the interpretation (government regulations allow this).
• The organizer asks all participants of this event to be considerate of other visitors and to observe the tour currently valid government regulations against the spread of the covid-19 disease.
• In case of low interest, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk, no later than 48 hours before the start of the event. Buyers will be contacted and the information will also be published on the organizer's website.
