The year has joined the year and the most beautiful holidays of the year are here again. A period that reminds us not only of the sweet smell of punch and cinnamon, but also of a change in people's behavior. A time when everyone is kinder, nicer and more empathetic towards each other. Maybe even after the example of the latest Christmas advertisement from the mobile operator, let's enjoy them together. Without barriers and pretense. 🫶
The most ideal way is the popular event CHRISTMAS PETRŽALKA 2024, 🎄 which is also coming to Námestie republiky this year with a rich program for all age categories. Christmas Petržalka 2024 starts on Friday, November 22 and will last until Saturday, December 21. The next day, you will still be able to enjoy the goodies from the stalls. During four weeks, you can look forward to a varied program for the less and more demanding, as well as a number of accompanying events and charity events.
As in other years, we will start the set of events with the ceremonial opening of the Christmas markets together with the lighting of the St. Christmas tree on Náměstí republiky, which is planned for November 22. Traditionally, you can't miss the tasty Mayor's punch 🧋 from the head of our local government, Ján Hrčka, which, with the assistance of his second right-hand man and vice-mayor Ján Karman, you can get with a sweet surprise absolutely FREE. The highlight of the festive program will be the performance of the vocal music group FRAGILE. 😍 And you mustn't miss it.
So that you don't get hungry or thirsty while having fun, a total of 13 fragrant stalls are waiting for all Petržalčans and visitors during the entire duration of the Christmas markets, where you can buy tasty snacks and various Christmas goods. This year's novelty will be a wooden nativity scene, whose authenticity will be underlined by live animals on selected days. 🐑🦉
That we promised you a rich cultural program? Well of course. After all, even this year Santa Claus will delight the little ones as well as the bigger ones with his journey around Petržalka, but also with small gifts. The Cimbalkovo family project will not be missing either. 🎶 In addition to Fragile, great performers performed by Samuel Tomeček, the band Bašavel and Jana Krištof Lehotská will delight your ears and caress your heart. Sisa Michalidesová will set us on a jazzy note, while the resounding voice of Vierka Kotvasová, Ronia and the great Janais will also carry through the square. La Musica, DOMMO Band, Banda will also honor the green estate with their visit, and the whole thing will be nailed by the band Hrdza. Of course, there will also be a children's stage performed by Petržalsk primary art schools and folklore ensembles.
Last but not least, let's not forget that Christmas is not just about fun. They carry much greater values, such as closeness and mutual help. That's why we're here again with Nicholas's drop of blood. You will be able to donate a piece of yourself and thus save more human lives on Thursday, December 5. 🩸 You will be able to give a piece of love to seniors in Petržalsk day centers through a full shoe box.
