About event
Denis Bango, Viktor Ori and Vanessa Weisz will perform at the Akropolis Palace on November 14.
Denis Bango may be a "wild punk" at heart, but when he sits behind the wing, finger typing experts lose their arguments. It was at the Akropolis Palace at the beginning of the year with his short piano piece during the Fvck_Kvlt concert that Denis made a strong "notch" in the souls of all those involved and subsequently in the music scene. Actually, he just wanted to test how Pisces Planet would sound on the piano. Subsequently, he played a piano concert for Pohoda den_FM in the inverted pyramid of Slovak radio, which was later broadcast live on Radio FM. Several other offers for piano concerts came, but he did not accept any of them. Finally, the decision was made to organize four unique solo piano performances, which will be in Prague, Bratislava, Košice and Brno. All of them will be something special and unrepeatable. After almost a year, Denis will sit down again at the grand piano in the Akropolis Palace, this time alone, without a band, and will play and sing (not only) Fvck_Kvlt's compositions.
Viktor Ori will present his debut album Lepšie belo noda dobe neda nede , which is a continuation of Shallov's 10-year story. In contrast to the previous, purely live, guitar work, a number of other instruments appear in the arrangement of the songs - synthesizers, piano, strings, and in addition to Dušan Ori and Antonín Kropáček from Shallov, many other artists are guests on the album. The album is very varied, but it is united by the bitterness and monumentality typical of Shallov's work, which this time takes place in the Slovak language. The first single We're all in this together was released in September, the second single is released in October, and the entire album can be expected on November 1, released under the Weltschmerzen label. This year it will be presented only twice, at baptisms in Bratislava and Prague.
Vanessa Weisz is a singer, composer, actress, artist who appeared on the Slovak scene relatively recently. She released her debut mixtape Wisdom Tooth in February 2021, more or less as a "quarantine experiment", but within a few months the project was nominated for the RadioHead_Awards 2021. Her work can be characterized as an electronic alternative with pop/soft-rock, house or blues elements, but she likes to connect different sounds and does not focus on music by genre, she approaches each song as an individual piece. He considers music to be therapeutic, he is not afraid to touch on sensitive topics and experiences related to love, disappointment, death, mental health or satire on morality and society. Vanessa is currently working on her debut album We Don't Talk About Dead People, which is dedicated to her father and hopes that this project will help destigmatize the topic of death in society and that people will not be shy to talk openly about of their deceased if it is something that helps them mentally cope with the loss.
