Bronislava Smržová Tomanová

Bronislava Smržová Tomanová (*1981) has been playing the violin and singing since childhood, and over time she focused primarily on solo singing. She graduated from the Jan Neruda High School with a music major under prof. Magdy Bělohlávková, Faculty of Education, Charles University, Prague Conservatory with prof. Jarmila Krásová and a large number of master classes. She also studies singing with singer Simona Procházková and prof. Jarmila Chaloupková. As a soloist, she performed with, among others, the BERG Orchestra, the Castle Guard Music Orchestra and the Police of the Czech Republic, the Musica bohemica ensemble, the KOA Orchestra, etc. He also devotes himself to the song repertoire, for example the work of Bohuslav Martinů or Gideon Klein. He collaborates artistically with pianist Veronika Ptáčková and organist Eva Bublová. In cooperation with the conductor, composer and head of Trauzl's music company Jan Zástěra, she participated in the recording of several CDs, for example his oratorio Coronation of the Czech Kings (2017). In the same year, she also recorded songs by Jan Dobiáš for Czech Radio. Her pedagogical activity is also very important. She is the founder of the summer singing courses and the Sing Smoke Festival for young singers.
