Jana Anýžová

Jana Anýžová is a Czech baroque violinist.

She studied violin at the P.J. Vejvanovský Conservatory in Kroměříž and at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. In 2000, she completed a one-year study at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, followed by regular baroque violin studies with Prof. Anton Steck. Master classes with personalities such as R. Podger, J. Holloway, S. Ritchie, R. Gwilt or L. U. Mortensen further deepened her interest in baroque music. foreign ensembles: Concerto Köln, Die Kölner Akademie, L'arte del Mondo, Ensemble 1700, Capella Coloniensis, Capella Augustina, Ensemble Tourbillon, Deutsche Händel Solisten, Musica sacra Basel, La Cetra Basel, with whom she won the Diapason d'Or award for the live recording of Giulio Cesare in Egitto by the composer Antonio Sartori. Now she collaborates regularly with the mainly Czech ensembles Collegium 1704, Musica Florea, Ensemble Inégal, Czech Ensemble Baroque.

In addition to the Quartetto Eisenberg, which focuses mainly on works from the classicism period, she is the founder of the Cadenza Ensemble, with which she won the 1. prize at the Alte-Musik-Treff competition in Berlin and 2nd prize at the international Heinrich-Schmelzer-Wettbewerb competition in Melk. The ensemble mainly focuses on early baroque music.

Since 2008, she has also been teaching for several years at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, where she taught baroque violin.
