Monika Jägerová
Monika Jägerová studied singing privately with Pavla Zumrová and learned interpretation of early music with Irena Troupová. She participated in master classes with Emma Kirkby (Dartington International Summer School 2015), Chantal Santon Jeffery and Deda Cristina Colonna (Versailles Academy 2018), Markéta Cukrová or Lorenzo Charoy (Valtice Summer School of Early Music 2015). In 2016, she won the international singing competition Prague Singer, in 2017 she received an honorable mention at the international singing competition Iuventus Canti (Vráble, Slovakia) and made it to the final of the international singing competition Renaty Tebaldi in San Marino and in 2019 she won the 3rd prize in the Song category at the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. She also studied violin at the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague and musicology at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, focusing on music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
She made her debut on the Czech opera stage in 2017 in the role of Mrs. Quickly (Falstaff) in the Silesian Theater Opava, where she then performed as the Rooster (The Adventures of the Quick Fox) and Háta (The Bartered Bride). In the 2018/2019 season, she made her debut at the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in Ostrava in the roles of Princess (Sestra Angelika) and Zita (Gianni Schicchi) as well as Staré Slovenka (Osud em>). In the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, in the role of Mrs. Baggot took part in the international performance of Britten's opera Kominíček (2016) and performed the alto part in the scenic oratorio Stabat Mater by Valentina Shuklina (2017).
Intensively devotes herself to the interpretation of early music, regularly collaborates with ensembles such as Collegium 1704, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Hof-musici and Ensemble Damian, in 2019 she was a guest at the Oude Muziek festival in Utrecht with Ensemble Tourbillon. She performed as Curtio (Antonio Giannettini: Claudio Nerone, 2018) and Timante (Johann Adolph Hasse: Demofoonte, 2019) in the Baroque Castle Theater in Český Krumlov, at the Olomouc Baroque Festival presented as Gloria (Vivaldi: La Gloria e Imeneo, 2018) and Giove (Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf: Il Tribunale di Giove, 2019). For the summer season in Vadsten, Sweden, she rehearsed the role of Ascalax (Telemann: Orfeo, 2019).
