Silvie Ježková

Silvie Ježková started playing the piano at the age of five under the guidance of Jana Diatková. She continued her studies at the Prague Conservatory (E. Boguniová) and the Academy of Performing Arts (Doc. Boris Krajný and Prof. Ivan Klánský). She regularly participated in piano courses in Písek and the Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Busapest. She attended a number of master classes (Amadeus Quartet, Alban Berg Quartet, LaSalle Quartet and others). She was most inspired by the musical approach of Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) and composer György Kurtág. She has been collaborating for a long time with the violinist Roman Patočka, laureate of many international competitions, and is also the piano partner of Jan Ostré. He collaborates with important artists and educators from the Czech Republic and abroad (Cathrin Cantin, Jean-Louis Capezzali, André Cazalet, Claude Lefévbre, Jan Talich, Clara Nováková, František Malotín, Pavel Kudelásek, Jiří Fišer). She performs on domestic and foreign stages (France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria) and has filmed for ÖRF, Radio 4 Netherlands and Czech Radio. Silvie Ježková has been working at the Prague Conservatory since 2000.
