Štěpánka Pučálková
Mezzo-soprano Štěpánka Pučálková graduated with the highest honors from her master's degree in opera at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she performed in a number of University of Salzburg productions. She made her debut at the Prague State Opera in 2014 as Page of Herodias (R. Strass: Salome) and in the following seasons played other roles such as Suzuki (G. Puccini: Madama Butterfly ), Stéphano (Ch. Gounod: Roméo et Juliette), 1. Maid (R. Strauss: Elektra) and 3. Lady (W. A. Mozart: The Magic Flute ) also on tour with the State Opera troupe in Japan. She made her debut at the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava as Rosina in Rossini's Lazebník and as Annius in La clemenza di Tito and also as Mercédes (Bizet: Carmen ) in the Landestheater Bregenz and Landestheater Salzburg. In 2015, she became a finalist in the international singing competition Hans Gabor Belvedere competition, in Amsterdam, Holland. In 2016, she also took part in the international singing competition Concours international de Belcanto Vincenzo Bellini in Marseille, France, where she won the second highest award – the Best Female Voice Award. She successfully debuted on the stage of the National Theater in Prague in the 17/18 season as Charlotte (J. Massenet: Werther).
