Viah

Viah is a Prague electropop group.

The debut album called Tears of a Giant was produced by Jiří Burian and was released in July 2018 under the Indies MG label. The title of the album refers to the melancholic tone of the songs, which thus become the tears of a giant in a fairy-tale analogy. The album was two years in the making, during which Vi Huyen Tran worked as a vocalist and keyboardist in the indie band Republic of Two and learned to compose songs. In his work, Vi Huyen Tran mainly deals with the themes of identity and authenticity. In 2019, the Viah group won the Czeching music export project, which provides the group with the opportunity to perform at the Eurosonic Noorderslag showcase festival, record and release a single, shoot a video clip, and finally their music will go to the music exchange of the European Broadcasting Union. In November 2019, Viah released a new single Samurai. They then released a second album, Crash Report, in 2022.
