About event
The tourist information office of the city of Žilina invites you to an educational cycle called Wednesdays with history.
We will see you next on Wednesday, November 12 at 4:30 p.m., when we will focus on industry in Žilina. We will start in the city center, with the building of the former steam power plant. We will continue to the first really large industrial enterprise, which was the Hungarian factory for woolen fabrics, military cloth and pokorce - in its time one of the most modern factories in Hungary. The factory continued the rich traditions of cloth making in the city. And from the Austro-Hungarian era, we will also visit the tar factory and the matchbox of the Wittenberg company. The "Sirkáreň" employed more than 100 employees and produced 13 million boxes of matches annually.
Do not hesitate and sign up for a unique tour of the city with guide Michal Chudík, which will be the last one this year. [email protected].
Entrance fee: €4 (adult) / €2 (pupil, student, senior) / €1 (child up to 6 years old, disabled).
